Jelly Pancakes

1/2 c flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 egg
1 c hot milk
3 T melted shortening

Sift flour, salt, baking powder together. Whip egg until light. Add hot milk to shortening. When slightly cool, stir into other ingredients. Whip until smooth. Bake on ungreased griddle (about 1/4 c mixture for each pancake). Spread with jelly and roll.
