Hush Puppies

1/2 c flour
2 c cornmeal
1 T sugar
2 t baking powder
1 egg
1 t salt

Mix all dry ingredients and sift together. Mix equal parts water and sweet milk (approximately 2/3 c) and add along with egg. Blend the mixture until to the right consistency to mold into small pones and drop into deep fat. Fry until golden brown.
